Trainer and Assessor

We specialise in **Health and Community Service**s, as well as **ELICOS in Medical English**. We are currently seeking **a Trainer and Assessor for the Diploma of Community Services**to deliver training and assessment for a class on Mondays and Tuesdays from 5:00 PM to 8:30 PM.

This role is ideal for an experienced community services practitioner who is passionate about imparting knowledge and skills to the next generation of community services workers.

**Key ResponsibilitiesTraining and Student Support**
- Plan and deliver engaging training sessions in line with the **Training and Assessment Strategy (TAS)**.
- Conduct assessments using validated tools, provide feedback, and maintain accurate assessment records.
- Monitor student progress and attendance, ensuring compliance with policies.
- Provide individualised student support and make reasonable adjustments to facilitate equitable learning.
- Maintain a safe, inclusive learning environment free from discrimination and harassment.

**Regulatory Compliance and Administration**
- Ensure all training and assessment activities comply with **RTO Standards (Clause 1.13 - 1.16)**.
- Accurately maintain student records, training resources, and assessment documentation.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives by contributing feedback on training materials.

**Professional Development & Ethical Conduct**
- Stay updated with industry trends and maintain **current vocational competency**.
- Participate in ongoing **professional development** relevant to both industry practice and vocational training.
- Uphold ethical and professional standards, reporting any non-compliance issues.

**Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)**
- Effective delivery of training as per the **Training and Assessment Strategy**.
- Accuracy and completeness of student assessments and records.
- Evidence of continued professional development.
- Compliance with Charter Australia’s policies and reporting requirements.
- Positive feedback from students, peers, and supervisors.

**Qualifications & ExperienceMandatory Requirements**:

- **Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122 or TAE40116)** (or equivalent).
- **Diploma of Community Services or higher** qualification.
- **Minimum 3-5 years** industry experience in community services (e.g., social work, case management, aged care, disability services, child protection).

**Desirable Skills & Experience**:

- Experience delivering **training and mentoring** in community services.
- Knowledge of **government funding programs** (e.g., CHSP, NDIS, My Aged Care).
- Cultural competency, particularly in **working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities**.
- Strong understanding of **compliance and ethical standards** in community services.
