As the Rail Safe Working Coordinator, you will be responsible for managing and coordinating the delivery of SafeWorking on the project and providing guidance on rail safety matters to the project team. You will play a vital role in implementing necessary systems of safe working to protect people, plant, equipment, process, and rolling stock.
Key Accountabilities:
- Provide day-to-day advice on rail safety and safe working through effective communication.
- Liaise with key stakeholders to provide advice and guidance on rail safety initiatives and activities.
- Plan, coordinate, and facilitate Rail SafeWorking Training.
- Review valid rail qualifications held by those working in rail safeworking roles.
- Maintain records of all Health and Safety requirements at the workplace and provide statistical summaries of these records.
- Coordinate the investigation of causes on site and maintain documentation in accordance with Health & Safety procedures.
- Position Requirements:
- Certificate IV in WHS and/or Rail Safety Management
- ICAM Training
- Lead Auditor
- SafeWorking and Worksite Protection, minimum P02 (desirable)
- Authorised tester for drugs and alcohol
- Certificate III or IV in Rail Infrastructure Construction and Maintenance.
- Confident in presenting to large groups.
- Extensive knowledge of rail safety standards and Network rules for the respective network where work is being performed.
- Substantial knowledge and understanding of heavy industry risk management standards, procedures, and practices.
