Laundry Assistant

Buckland is a quality provider of Aged Care services situated in Springwood in the Lower Blue Mountains NSW. We are a well-established non-for-profit organisation and are well respected in our community.
We are currently seeking a highly motivated **Laundry Assistant - General Service Officer**to join our team in a part-time capacity.
**Your responsibilities will include but will not be limited to**:
- Attend to laundry duties including washing, drying, folding and storage of linen and resident clothes
- Ensure the facility has adequate fresh linen/supplies available
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment
- Work cooperatively with all departments within the facility
- Adhere to WHS requirements including the safe storage and use of chemicals and cleaning equipment
- Adhering to Infection Prevention and Control principles and procedures
**Please note: The GSO Department covers cleaning, kitchen & laundry. All GSO staff may be required to train & work in all areas as needed by the Facility.**
- Flexible and willing to undertake a wide variety of tasks in different departments in a fast-paced environment
- Have at least 1 years' experience in a similar role - _**desirable but not essential**_
- Have knowledge and understanding of Work Health and Safety principles
- Have strong organisational and time management skills
- Be proactive, flexible and able to show initiative
- Be willing to learn and commit to ongoing professional development
- Have a high-level attention to detail
- Understands the need for privacy & confidentiality
- Willing to be a team player and assist co-workers where needed
- Have their own transport or live locally
