Labourer/Irrigation Installer

Irrigation Works is looking for an enthusiastic Labourer on a **casual **basis to join our team at Nuriootpa and Clare locations.

Irrigation Works has operated in the regions of Barossa and Clare Valley for the past 26 years providing support to the wine and vineyard industry via supply, installation and maintenance of Irrigation and pumping systems

Role and Responsibility
- Provide assistance to Irrigation technician
- To arrive at the job site on time
- Works in a safe manner and performs a pre-start checklist before commencement of work.
- Regular checking of machines during operation.
- Ensure regular and preventative maintenance procedures are carried out.
- Works under general supervision either individually or in a team environment.
- Exercises discretion within their level of skills and training.
- Identifies basic faults in materials and equipment.
- Interacts harmoniously with employees of other companies on-site.
- Adapts to a changing work environment.
- Communicates essential information
- Maintenance/ diagnosis/ repair & installation of irrigation systems
- Installation of new residential, rural, and commercial irrigation systems of various size
- Repairs to irrigation system, and pipe work as needed.
- Performs regular stock control checks and advises logistics of stock needs
- Carry out installation of irrigation pump/filtration stations

Essential Skills and Qualifications
- Completed accredited course is an advantage but not essential
- Exceptional customer service skills and a can-do attitude

Desirable
- E.g. White Card, First-aid certification

- forklift, truck (LF Class) (preferred)
