**What you’ll be doing**

The Risk Specialistis responsible fordelivering risk and crisis management initiatives and projects across theorganisation. The position works with stakeholders to develop and implement tools and resources for risk management and crisis management activities and provides support to the Manager - Risk & WHS.

Your key accountabilities will include:

- Effectively support the delivery of key risk managementandcrisis managementinitiatives and projectsacross the organisationin accordance withlegislative requirements andsettimeframesof delivery.
- Ensure the scope of projects and initiatives meet stakeholder needs andidentifyand effectively manage project risks.
- Collaborate effectively within the team and across the organisation to ensure the success of risk management and crisis management initiatives and projects.
- Deliver professional andaccuratewritten correspondence and documentation, includingreports to Managementand Corporate Governance Committee asrequired.
- Provide advice, support and guidance to the organisation in the processing and submission of complex insurance claims, whilst collaborating with key external stakeholders.

You will possess demonstrated experience working in a similar position or in a Risk & WHS environment providing specialist advice.

You have strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to tailor your message to support others to understand and interpret legislation.

Whilst relevant tertiary qualifications in Business, Project Management or Local Government Administration or a related discipline is highly desirable we welcome applicants with demonstrated experience in a Risk & WHS environment or similar role.

- Project management experience
- Effectively manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
- Highly developed verbal and written communication skills including report writing
- Exceptional interpersonal skills including thecapacitytoestablishand maintain effective relationships with peers and stakeholders
- Highly developed research skills
- Demonstrated high level organisational skills and initiative
- Proven ability to produce a high standard of work
