**Role Description/Criteria**

**About the role**

Commencing 2025, Mount Lilydale Mercy College is seeking an experienced and passionate Religious Education & Faith Development Faculty Learning Leader (POL3) to join our dynamic team. This full-time leadership position plays a vital role in shaping the spiritual and faith-based direction of our College community. As the Religious Education & Faith Development Faculty Learning Leader, you will be responsible for developing and implementing engaging religious education programs that inspire and nurture the faith of our students, under the guidance of the Deputy Principal - Mission.

**What you'll be doing**
- Lead the planning, development and delivery of the College's Religious Education curriculum and programs
- Coordinate and oversee the facilitation of meaningful faith development activities, retreats and liturgies for students
- Provide pastoral support and guidance to students, staff and the broader college community
- Collaborate with school leadership to ensure the college's Catholic identity and Mercy values are upheld
- Mentor the Religious Education teaching team
- Actively contribute to the overall leadership and strategic direction of the College

**What we're looking for**
- Demonstrated experience in a similar leadership role within a Catholic school environment
- Strong Catholic faith and a deep understanding of the Catholic tradition and Mercy values
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and facilitation skills
- Proven ability to lead, motivate and develop a team of educators
- Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) registration
- Tertiary qualifications in Religious Education, Theology or a related field
