**About the Role**

As the Financial Analyst you will deliver on financial management activities, including financial planning, forecasting and reporting across all funding sources, data analysis, financial modelling and adhoc reporting.
This role will engage with DTP stakeholders on behalf of SRS to ensure accurate and timely reporting, and assist with identifying opportunities for improvements and savings. This role will also provide support and training to internal stakeholders to increase commercial and system understanding and improve financial management processes.

**Position Outcome**

- Research and analyse business financial activity to identify business financial improvements to increase operational efficiency and mitigate corporate risks
- Exercise independent judgement to prepare accurate and timely reports to management on financial business activities, KPIs and any emerging issues
- Coordinate financial and governance activities in liaison with the relevant Department stakeholders, including compliance reporting, budgeting and forecasting processes.
- Provide sound advice and support to internal stakeholders, aligned with Department financial policies and procedures
- Provide support and training to operational and administrative staff on financial systems, transactions and reporting.
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships with internal and Department stakeholders
- Demonstrate independent judgement to analyse high risk issues and trends that have an impact on the finances of the business
- Respect and encourage diverse opinions and work collaboratively with a diverse range of people for mutually agreeable business outcomes

**Qualifications and Experience**

**Mandatory**
- Level 2 First Aid certificate

**Desirable**
- Driver’s License
- Roaster/Shift work is required
- Involve evening or weekend work including
- You may be required to undertake a medical and other safety compliance requirement
