**Position Information**:

Singleton Public School is situated in the midst of Wonnarua Country located 60km west of Newcastle. The Parents & Citizens Association are very active and supportive of the school and work closely with staff to provide opportunities for all students.
Singleton Public School currently has 17 classes, including 3 MC Support classes. Current enrolments are 379 with 13% identifying as Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander.
Singleton Public School is a proud member of the Singleton Learning Community and the Upper Hunter Network, fostering educational collaboration through learning hubs.
**Selection Criteria**:
In addition to the general selection criteria;
- Capacity to lead Aboriginal education, driving programs and initiatives to achieve high-quality outcomes for Aboriginal students by strengthening partnerships across the wider community.
- Demonstrated capacity to value add to the school's positive trajectory through innovative and collaborative educational leadership.
- A highly visible, approachable and collaborative leader with outstanding communication and organisational skills, who inspires and empowers staff, working closely with local principals and schools.
- Demonstrated evidence of a positive impact in improving student and staff learning and wellbeing outcomes.
**General Selection Criteria**:
1. High level educational leadership with the skills to lead and manage a complex public school focused on the delivery of high quality education
2. Ability to lead and manage rigorous and inclusive whole school teaching and learning programs
3. High level communication and interpersonal skills with the capacity to build positive relationships and engage all levels of the school and educational community
4. Ability to lead and manage the development and performance of staff to improve teaching and learning
5. Ability to plan systems and manage resources effectively and equitably to enhance teaching and learning
6. Capacity to lead staff in implementing the Department's Aboriginal education policies and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people
