**What You Will Be Doing**

The Team Leader of the Men’s Intake Service at the Safety and Support Hub is a valued member of the Family Violence Program and works within the state-funded Integrated Response to Family Violence along with other funded agencies in a collaborative and integrated way. The Team Leader responds to the identified need to enhance the safety of women and children in our community by working with men who perpetrate family violence. This position will be based within the Men’s team at the Bayside Peninsula Safety and Support Hub, based in Frankston and/or Hastings.

**What You Need**

We anticipate you will have:

- A relevant tertiary qualification in Social Work or Psychology or Social Science.
- Psychologists require full registration with AHPRA
- Social Workers must be eligible for membership of the AASW
- For Psychologists: Psychology Board approved supervisor who has undertaken Board-approved training in competency-based supervision
- For Social Work: Social Work extensive experience and demonstrated positive outcomes in supervision and consultation.
- A minimum 7 years experience working within the relevant discipline
- A demonstrated high level of experience and knowledge working within theories, including systems, trauma informed care, family violence and strength based frameworks.
- Relevant or transferable experience within the Family Violence sector that demonstrates the Core Competencies, Attributes and Capabilities
- Strong understanding of evidence-based practice for working with men who use family violence
- Experience in conducting comprehensive safety, risk and wellbeing assessments and working within the ‘Best Interests Principles’ as outlined within the Children, Youth and Families Act 2005
- Demonstrated ability working with individuals with complex needs and risk issues in Family Violence and any of the following service areas; Family Services, Child Protection, Housing, Disability, Mental Health and/or alcohol and Other Drugs
