We provide the framework for fair and productive relationships between employers and employees. We also oversee skills development and training initiatives to support those entering the workforce or re-training to take advantage of emerging employment opportunities.

With us, your work directly contributes to shaping the employment landscape. Whether you are engaging in policy development, program implementation, or direct support services, your efforts will have a tangible impact on job seekers, employees and the economy by giving them a framework to build a future anchored and realised through employment.

It is our ambition to do things differently, to create the ‘department of great jobs’- where our people reflect our purpose.

**The Role**
Reporting to the Assistant Director, Software Management, the Team Leaders are responsible for the effective and efficient management of software licensing.

The team manages/administers, on behalf of the DEWR and client agencies, a broad range of software licenses, as well as monitoring and reporting on license entitlements, usage, and deployments. Additionally, you will be required to provide support to facilitate software purchases, maintenance renewals, compliance audits, and assist with technical issue resolution.

As part of the Corporate and Enabling Group at DEWR, and work with the following pillars:

- We do the basics brilliantly.
- We provide expert advice and support.
- We engage effectively with each other and our stakeholders.
- We consider the bigger picture, connect the dots and focus on priorities.

**Duties and Responsibilities**
Responsibilities of the APS Level 6 may include:

- Drive strategic improvement of the Software Asset Management processes, tools and licence management governance.
- Leverage the various software and license management tools used by the software team, examples being FlexNet Manager Suite (FNMS) and Service Now, to produce reports (regularly or on request) and communicate results with recommendations to management.
- Manage the team’s mailbox, supporting the team to respond in a timely manner to internal teams, client agencies and vendors, with the ability to identify and prioritise items needing responses with urgency.
- Working with stakeholders such as the architecture, release and deployment teams to ensure fit-for-purpose software solutions are deployed to satisfy business requirements.

**How to Apply**
Applicants are required to provide a summary (no more than 500 words) that outlines skills, knowledge, and experience and why you should be considered for this vacancy. You should take into consideration the position overview (including any detailed position specific requirements) when drafting your response. Where possible include specific relevant examples of your work.

The APS work level standards accommodate the diversity of roles across the APS and are structured to clearly differentiate between the work expected (i.e. responsibilities and duties) at each classification level.

In the eRecruit (the department’s online recruitment system) you will also need to:

- upload a Curriculum Vitae
- provide contact details for 2 Referees.

**Eligibility**

**Don’t meet all the role requirements?**
