Reporting to the Group Manager - HSEC, the Environment Coordinator will coordinate the implementation of the organisation’s Environment Management Plan, which establishes the framework for the management of all environmental aspects of Sunshine Coast Airport operations in accordance with legislation, objectives and actions through collaboration with internal and external airport stakeholders.

Our Environment Coordinator will ideally have demonstrated experience in the following areas:

- Environmental Management including reporting, auditing, and performance measurement, ensuring clear objectives and outcomes are identified.
- Environmental stragety and compliance including developing, maintaining and updating registers, plans and policies.
- Environmental Governance including developing organisational goals and KPI's, including continuing to maintain and build on Sunshine Coast Airport's Carbon Neutral Accrediation.
- Development, implementation and coordinator of project and contractor environmental obligations, requirments and compliance for our unique Airport environment.
- Driving and environmental awareness and appreciation culture through education, initiatives and building relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

This is a full operational environmental compliance role which will provide guidance and support to our Team on best business practices, reiterating how vital it is that Sunshine Coast Airports continues to be a sustainable airport, now and in the future.

Our Environment Coordinator will ideally have the following qualifications, skills and knowledge:

- Tertiary qualification in Environmental Science, Environmental Management, Natural Resource Management or Environmental Engineering or equivalent.
- Minimum 3 years demonstrated experience in a similar role.
- Experience in Environmental Management Systems.
- An understanding of Carbon footrpint reduction programs (desirable).
- Knowledge of relevant Commonwealth and State environmental legislation.
- Highly developed written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal and stakeholder relationship management skills.
