**Lawn and Garden Maintenance Trainee**

**About us**:
Hawtin Landscapes was established in 1997 and has built a reputation by producing exceptional quality in all aspects of landscaping for over 20 years.

Specialising in all aspects of limestone from small garden walls to extensive retaining walls (engineer stamped if required) you can be assured of expertise in construction.

Their team are looking for an enthusiastic and diligent Landscaper to join their lawn care team. You must be comfortable operating lawn maintenance equipment, such as lawnmowers, trimmers, and blowers, and understand how to water, fertilize, and prune decorative shrubs and plants.

**Landscaper Duties and Responsibilities**
- Mow grass and prune trees and shrubs
- Treat lawn and landscaping with pesticides to remove harmful insects
- Maintain the existing landscaping design and ensure plant survival
- Plant new flowers, bushes, plants, and decorative shrubs
- Rake fallen leaves and remove debris
- Keep pedestrian areas removed of snow and ice
- Properly store and handle all equipment, tools, sprinklers, etc.
- Oversee maintenance repairs to equipment, landscape structures, and hardscape walkways

**Landscaper Requirements and Qualifications**

**_ School leavers aged 17-18 are encouraged to apply_**
- Driver's license or access to reliable transport
- Previous experience in landscaping or grounds keeping a plus
- Experience operating lawn maintenance equipment, such as lawnmowers, string trimmers, leaf blowers, and hedge trimmers - _Not essential _
- Must pass background check
- Able to stand, bend, and squat for extended periods and lift up to 18 kilos
