**The role**:
Reporting to the Manager, you will be responsible for providing ICT technical expertise, support and administration across the main technical domains (End User Computing, Servers, Telecommunications and Networks) with a focus on Networks & Telecommunications, by maintaining the operational environment that supports the business. You will also provide support and assistance in the clarification and prioritisation of tasks, ensuring assigned priorities and Project deliverables are met in accordance with defined enterprise service levels and customer expectation in a highly digitised healthcare environment.

**In addition to this, you will be responsible for**:

- Effectively supervising and managing visiting ICT support staff, such as suppliers, by adhering to unit and organisational goals, policies and procedures, and seek opportunities to improve service provision through mentoring.
- Effectively supervising/ mentoring a technical team by adhering to unit and organisational goals, and procedures.
- Whilst part of a broader team, the position requires being able to work with mínimal supervision and a substantial commitment to self-management in prioritising and managing workloads, commuting to supported sites and being able to represent eHealth Queensland in communications with senior staff within the HHS as required.
- Managing Requests for Change (RFS's) and adhere to ITIL based Change Management practices.

As a key member of the Gold Coast Digital Partnership Project Team, you will use your technical knowledge and experience in data networks (wired and wireless) and unified communications to support the delivery of medium to large scale projects ensuring project outcomes are achieved and enterprise solutions are delivered that are responsive to customer needs and requirements

Demonstrated experience and knowledge in the following technologies would be highly regarded:

- Cisco LAN and Data Centre design including Layer 2/Layer 3 routing protocols and configuration of VLAN's and VRF's.
- Cisco Wireless technologies; Design and configuration of Cisco Wireless Controllers - 5500 series and 8500 series; Cisco Access Points.
- Wireless site survey and troubleshooting skills.
- Ethernet and IP QoS principles (classification, marking, queuing, congestion avoidance, policing, shaping, link efficiency mechanisms, etc.)
- Security principles and best practice e.g. Cisco ISE; Cisco ASA
- Network Management tools, e.g. Cisco Prime, Solarwinds
- Alcatel-Lucent Telephony/PABX;
- Spok Messenger;
- Integration of third party technologies such as RTLS, Nurse Call and Building Management Systems into a complex Unified Communications and data network environment.

Are you right for this role?
To be successful in the role, you will demonstrate technical expertise in the management, configuration, monitoring and implementation of ICT environments in multiple technical domains and experience and ability to deliver high quality ICT support to clients, with an emphasis on managing workloads, prioritising tasks and working unsupervised.

Furthermore, you will have demonstrated interpersonal skills and personal qualities that facilitate the development of good working relationships, including supervising/mentoring of junior staff, and enhance the provision of quality client service in a team environment.
