**About Beacon Lighting**
Our story began in Melbourne in 1967 with a single store and the drive to brighten up people's lives. Since then, we’ve grown to become Australia’s leading specialist retailer of lights, ceiling fans and light globes, with over 115 stores nationwide and a team of over 1,000 people in Australia and beyond. Our customers are at the heart of everything we do. And it’s their wellbeing that drives us to develop stylish, innovative and energy-efficient products that help them live brighter, live lighter, live cooler, live warmer, live well, live smarter and to simply, live life.

With emerging businesses in Australia and internationally along with a strong focus on our trade customers, this is an exciting time to join our business and grow with us. At Beacon, every day is an opportunity to make a positive impact. You can look forward to roles that align with your passion, work that inspires and opportunities to transform people’s homes and lives. You’ll have the freedom to create, you’ll feel empowered to make changes and you’ll find opportunities to work and learn alongside talented and skilled people. We’re positive about the future and the world we live in, and we look forward to connecting to an even brighter future with you.

**The role**

Come join our team as a Learning and Development Partner, where you will play an essential role in supporting our teams in all things learning and development. You’ll play a critical role in building capability across our team members to develop their retail skills so that they can create fantastic experiences for their customers and trades.

We’re looking for someone with a passion for retail who can think on their feet, enjoys being challenged and can hold the attention of the room.

Whilst no two days will look the same, we’re looking for someone to:

- Lead the roll out of national projects and processes for the Learning and Development team
- Facilitate induction training sessions for all new employees
- Provide practical and hands on training to our store team in the areas such as (but not limited to) merchandising, customer service, and operational procedures
- In consultation with the Senior Learning and Development Partner, partner with internal stakeholders across Beacon Lighting to develop training packages to support key organisational initiatives
- Generate relevant training documents that can be used to support the entire organisation
- Observe processes and procedures to identify training opportunities or create improvements for training documents within the L&D framework
- Assist in WHS policies and procedural training development
- Complete monthly reporting for management, maintain and update data and complete ad-hoc duties
- Foster highly effective working relationships across Beacon Lighting’s operational and support teams

**A little about you**:

- Minimum 3 year’s experience in a similar role
- Relevant industry knowledge in the retail industry (preferred)
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment and/or Diploma of Business (or similar)
- Current Driver’s license
- Proof of eligibility to work in Australia

**Benefits**

You will also have access to on-site parking and you will enjoy generous staff discounts on all our beautiful products. Not to mention the fact that you will be joining a company that has been trading successfully for over 50 years, is highly involved in reducing environmental impacts and supports a number of worthwhile charities.

Our culture is important to us at Beacon Lighting and our team members are a reflection of that culture. It is expected that each person is aligned with and commits to the following:
Be a shining example. Do everything to the best of your ability with enthusiasm and energy to inspire others.

**BE CARING - BE RESPECTFUL - BE A TEAM PLAYER - BE RESPONSIBLE - BE ETHICAL - BE SUCCESSFUL
