**About the** **Role**
As a Pedagogical Coach you will provide strategic support and coaching to the four-year-old Kindergarten teaching teams to ensure high quality teaching and learning for children in our Kindergarten programs.
Working closely with the Coordinator for Family services and our Early Childhood Educators, you will be to deliver pedagogical leadership, and mentoring to educators and teachers to support them in developing a deeper understanding of what informs their practice and why they work in particular ways, recognising the importance of a shared understanding of high quality pedagogy making their practice more visible to others. ensuring these values are embedded in everyday practice.
**Key responsibilities in this role will include**:
- Provide Educational Leadership through mentoring, coaching and support to educators and teachers in collaboration with the Team Leader.
- Support staff to build and establish a working knowledge of the all relevant policies, strategies, plans and frameworks that guide or influence practice within programs.
- Provide targeted support and mentoring to teachers and educators, as directed by the School Readiness Funding goals established, and in consultation with Centre Managers and Team Leader - Quality Assurance.
- Undertake regular reviews and evaluations of programs and professional practices of teachers and educators to plan for continuous improvement.
- Strengthening teachers and educator’s knowledge and understanding of the principles of reflective practice to ensure innovative and responsive programs are delivered.
**About you**
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- Tertiary qualification in Early Childhood Education (Bachelor of Early Childhood Education or equivalent). Qualification must be NQF approved as Early Childhood Teacher)
- Proven relevant experience in providing and delivering high quality children’s programs using a strength-based, inclusive, family-centered approach.
- Thorough working understanding of the guiding documents used in Early Childhood. The whole suite that sits under the National Quality Framework, and an understanding of the Child Safe Standards.
- Proven relevant experience in leading and participating in reflective discussions and considerations on practice and the implementation of the VEYLDF with a focus upon interactions, routines, intentional teaching, learning to support staff to explore practice change.
- Strong mentoring skills including ability to observe and feedback constructively, lead reflective discussion, support adult learning and change, and develop plans for professional development
