Perpetual Group is an ASX-listed company (ASX:PPT) headquartered in Sydney, Australia, currently consisting of 11 leading brands across three distinct businesses: Asset Management, Wealth Management and Corporate Trust.

Following the completion of a comprehensive Strategic Review in May 2024, it was announced that Perpetual Limited will become a standalone Asset Management business and has entered into an agreement with an affiliate of Kohlberg Kravis Roberts (KKR) who will acquire the Corporate Trust and Wealth Management businesses.

About the role

An exciting opportunity to be part of the Governance and Oversight team at Perpetual Corporate Trust where you will be responsible for providing support to the business to deliver an effective and best in class Outsourcing Framework which manages the businesses risk exposures.

About the Role

As a Manager - Governance and Oversight, you will:
- Complete operational due diligence on proposed new service providers to be appointed including investment management, fund administration, custody or prime brokerage roles.- Identify the RE's/Trustee’s risk exposures in relation to a service provider appointment and assess whether the service provider is within Perpetual's Risk Appetite.- Assist with the review of SLAs to ensure all services required are adequately documented.- Educate and engage with service providers to set out RE/Trustee expectations of service and management of investors best interests in accordance with the regulatory requirements.- Complete enhanced monitoring projects across key risk and regulatory agenda themes to assess any risks or improvements to a service provider systems, processes and controls.- Produce benchmarking analysis, dashboards and reports for Management, Committees and Boards on service provider due diligence and monitoring outcomes.- Resolve exceptions and issues with service providers in a timely manner.- Monitor status of Service Provider Reporting and Service Provider Action Plans including assessing closure based on information submitted by the service provider.- Incident/breach reporting and oversight on issues caused by service providers.- Continually improving the Outsourced Service Provider Monitoring Program and implementing changes to the Program where benefits and efficiencies can be gained.- Administering our service provider platform.- Develop and maintain good understanding of Perpetual’s requirements, risk appetite, managed funds and service providers.- Develop and maintain good & effective relationships with service providers and internal stakeholders.- Act in accordance with Perpetual’s goals & values.- Involvement in ad-hoc projects as required.

About you

We’re looking for someone with:
- Law/Business/ Accounting/ Economics degree required- Minimum 5 years’ experience in Financial Services, preferably with exposure to managed funds. Would suit someone who has had experience monitoring investment managers, custodians, administrators or someone in a compliance, risk, audit or a product manager role with regulated managed funds experienced- Have a good understanding of the service providers operations for managed investment schemes and the legal, regulatory and compliance and risk frameworks- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills- Analytical and strong attention to detail and the ability to manage and prioritise multiple tasks- Intermediate level experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint- Experience with PowerQuery and PowerBI is highly regarded.
