Brisbane, Australia MIGAS Apprentices & Trainees Full time

**THE OPPORTUNITY**

You will develop the skills of a qualified Electrical Tradespeople by assisting the on-site tradespeople in the electrical maintenance and repairs to underground mining equipment and machinery and will be mentored by qualified tradespeople over a four-year period to gain electrical knowledge and skills within the mining industry. For your 1st year of your apprenticeship, you will be working a Mon-Fri roster before converting to a 7/7 roster for years 2-4. Accommodation is supplied at the Capcoal Village in Middlemount.

Undertaking this **four-year apprenticeship **will give you the opportunity to become a qualified Electrician and earn your **Certificate III in Electrotechnology **(**UEE30820)***

Ideally you will have:

- The willingness to listen and learn
- Demonstrate a genuine passion for your chosen trade
- Comfortable working in a physically demanding underground environment
- Take pride in the quality of your work
- Possess strong mathematical aptitude
- Punctuality and reliability
- Current drivers licence P Plate min
- Be committed to completing and passing all practical and theory-based study requirements of your Apprenticeship
- Ability to successfully pass a Pre-employment coal board medical and standard 11
