Service Technician

**Job Summary**:

**THE ROLE**

To plan, execute and supervise the delivery of technical services and post sales support solutions to customers. The role will be required to perform a broad range of tasks in a service operations and/or maintenance work team, on a project basis. To support the National Service Manager, Service Projects Manager and Service Supervisor in implementing projects in line with the objectives of the business.

**QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE & SPECIALIST EXPERTISE (knowledge)**:

- Experience in assisting skilled or trade persons
- Completion of Year 10
- Basic skills in Communication and interpersonal skills
- Basic skills in Computer literacy skills - Microsoft Office
- Experience in the Baghouse practices would be advantageous
- Current ‘C’ class driver’s license
- High Risk Work License - EWP and Forklift would be advantageous
- Working at Heights & Confined Spaces would be advantageous
- Ability to pass an Industrial Medical

**DUTIES**:

- Service Planning, Delivery and Supervising
- Support Technical Services team to assist in planning jobs and in supervising the work with site presence as required. Some site works include travels which maybe intrastate and/or interstate as required. These away projects may mean time away from home for extended periods. All travel expenses are covered.
- Costing and preparing quotations for future jobs once additional training is completed.
- Co-ordinate and lead internal and external service crews to deliver on-site preventative and reactive maintenance and repairs for SOLAFT’s customers.
- Complete service tasks, including inspections, bag removal and replacement, and preventative maintenance and repairs on various customer sites across Australia.
- Carry out a broad range of maintenance and physical labouring tasks neatly and correctly including trade assistance duties.
- Carry out daily checks in accordance with company procedures and site working plan; understanding the shortfalls and be willing and able to work towards a resolution. Operate and maintain tools and equipment in good order and in accordance with the operator’s manual, SOLAFT procedures and good practice, including: Preparation of tooling and equipment for jobs, Cleaning of tooling, equipment and vehicles, Auditing of tooling and equipment when required
- Complete detail service job reports and follow-up actions/work.
- Maintain customer work plans, status and priorities.
- Ensure the safe delivery of services work and maintain compliance of all personnel with client and SOLAFT safety policies and procedures.

**Customer Support**

Work with customer to understand products and processes in order to provide best solution

**Services Management & Administration**
- Prepare documentation for services jobs to be invoiced by back office team.
- Ensure profitable and on time delivery of service jobs with accurate estimate and completion.
- Assist in improving and developing service templates and tools.

**Personnel Leadership**
- Communication across team and organisation to build understanding and engagement.
- Coach and train internal and external staff on Service techniques.
