Quarry Maintenance/fitter

**Operate and Maintain**

We are currently recruiting for an experienced and professional Fitter to join our Ferny Grove Quarry team. This is a permanent full-time opportunity and will be rostered to work from 6 am weekdays with the inclusion of weekend work and overtime when required. We are looking for someone passionate about safety, results-focused, and has a strong work ethic.

**The role**:

- Working 5.5 days per week, 12 hours per day.
- Pay rates are $36.51-$38.01 depending on experience (annually $155,000 to $170,000 depending on overtime worked and experience).
- Attending to breakdowns with the crushing plant and minor repairs on mobile equipment
- Assist in all quarry Maintenance activities.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Ensure Plant and Quarry equipment is operating within Australian Standards and Hanson’s policies and procedures.
- Perform all aspects of maintenance to heavy machinery and equipment
- General labour and upkeep of fixed plant site and equipment
- Positive and high regard for safety policies and procedures.

**This role is a great fit for you if you**:

- Have quarry and/or fixed plant Industry experience (this is essential to be considered for this role)
- Have plant and crusher experience.
- Have a proven background in fabrication and general plant maintenance (highly regarded)
- Are self-motivated, hardworking, and trustworthy and can communicate within a team environment.
- Have the knowledge and understanding of safety systems, work methods and risk assessments.
- Are a Trade qualified Fitter with welding experience (certificates to accompany)
- Have Working at Heights and EWP Licence and Current manual drivers Licence, confined spaces (ideal but not essential) Have the drive to succeed and continually improve
