Rigger / Dogman (Ft)

We are currently seeking Construction Rigger / Dogman to join our busy workshops.

Northfleet is seeking an experienced Rigger that can assemble and install rigging gear, such as cables, ropes, pulleys, and Winches, to lift, lower, and move equipment, structural steel, and other heavy objects for our Perth Metro fleet and Project workforce.

**Tasks**:

- Erects lifting tackles by attaching pulleys and blocks to fixed overhead structures and installs cables and attaches counterweights.
- Attaches slinging gear to hoisting equipment and objects to be moved using clamps, hooks, bolts, and knots.
- Fits and bolts tubes, support braces, and components to form bases and build up the scaffolding.
- Lifts and positions sections of scaffolding.
- Erects guard rails, guy wires, ropes and clears, lays plank, and hangs safety nets.

**To be successful the following is required**:

- Trade qualified or equivalent
- Previous experience in a similar role for at least 5 years
- Excellent communication skills
- High attention to detail and ability to work effectively and collaboratively with the team
- Ability to meet strict deadlines
- Be reliable, punctual & hardworking
- Strong commitment to Health and Safety
- Current Drivers Licence
- Ability to work in a team environment and positive work ethic
- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol test

**EMPLOYMENT DETAILS**:

- Annual Salary: $30.00 per hour based on a 38-hour week
- Employment Basis: Full-time employment
- Classification: DOGMAN/RIGGER
