**About the Role**:
The key skills and qualities for the acting Head of Department Humanities role include:

- Leading a high performing faculty through the provision of quality learning and teaching, to support students to reach their learning potential;
- Setting high standards for student and staff performance;
- Participating in weekly leadership meeting and conduct regular faculty meetings;
- Mentoring beginning teachers in the faculty and providing support to others when required;
- Understand the legislation and policies that impact on schooling especially in relation to students and staff within the Humanities department;
- Manage the human, financial, facilities and curriculum resources of the Humanities department to achieve goals;
- Work collaboratively with the co-leader of the Humanities department.
