Dental Assistant

We have the exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic new team member to join our specialist Orthodontic practice in Footscray. We are a small clinic with one orthodontist and one hygienist and run a friendly, family focused practice.

In this role you will have the unique opportunity to learn every aspect of working in an orthodontic practice. Highlights of the role include:

Your role will include:

- Assisting the orthodontist and hygienist chairside for all procedures.
- Clinical photography and intra-oral scanning.
- Maintaining a well-stocked and organised clinic.
- Sterilisation duties.
- Assisting at reception when required.
- Problem-solving - helping the clinic run smoothly and efficiently.
- Corresponding with patients and practitioners - both written and verbal.

The position is permanent part/full-time equivalent (approximately 34 hours per week) with the days required being Monday to Thursday 8am - 5.30pm. Enjoy a long weekend every week and there are NO weekends or late nights required. **You must be available to work during school holidays as it is our busiest time.**

Other attributes of the successful applicant will include:

- Excellent spoken and written English (Vietnamese speaking is also highly regarded)
- Excellent communication skills, particularly at the front desk and on the phone
- Extremely reliable with a motivated and positive attitude
- A warm, friendly personality
- The ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Computer literate (we use Oasis and Dolphin imaging)
- Cert III / IV in dental assisting would be an advantage
- The ability to satisfy current requirements to work in healthcare

**Experience**:

- Dental assisting: 1 year (preferred)
