Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team at I'm Able Support Network. This position is open for supporting a variety of individuals from children to adults, males and females with challenging backgrounds, as well as regular hospital appointments. We are looking for an individual who can bring positivity, empathy, and professionalism to this important role, while also being good with kids.
**Responsibilities**:
- Provide one-on-one support and assistance to individuals with daily living activities, personal care, and mobility.
- Accompany individuals to school drop-off and pick-up as well as hospital appointments, ensuring their comfort, safety, and timely attendance.
- Foster a supportive and empowering environment that promotes independence and well-being for the individuals.
- Establish a strong rapport and build trusting relationships with the individuals, their families, and healthcare professionals.
- Create a safe and nurturing environment for children, fostering their development and providing them with companionship.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of daily activities and progress reports.
**Requirements**:
- Previous experience working with individuals with challenging backgrounds is highly desirable.
- Ability to adapt to varying schedules and provide support during regular hospital appointments.
- Excellent communication skills in English.
- Demonstrated sensitivity, patience, and respect for individuals with diverse backgrounds and needs.
- A confident and empathetic personality with a good sense of humor to create a positive and uplifting atmosphere.
- Experience and ability to interact positively with children, demonstrating patience, understanding, and an ability to engage them in age-appropriate activities.
- Reliable and punctual, with the ability to manage time effectively and prioritise tasks.
- Valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle for transportation is required.

**Pay Rates**:
- $31 - $74
**- CERT III Aged Care/Disability Support/Other relevant University Qualifications**
**- Experience in Caring for individuals with Disabilities and/or Medical Conditions**
**- National Police Clearance**
**- Valid driver's license C Class.**
**- Working With Children Clearance**
**- Stay Infection Free training**
**- First Aid Certificate**
**- Working with Vulnerable Persons Clearance**
