About the role
The Officer - Community Mobilisation works with local, state and national stakeholders to build organisational capability with a focus on volunteering, membership and outward community facing events
Supported by the Manager - Community & Business Operations and working with other members and volunteers, the role acts to innovate, attract, engage and retain volunteers and members.
**This position focuses on**:

- Mobilising member and volunteer engagement through the creation of signature events across Victoria.
- Linking Red Cross resources to empower our volunteer work force to connect with their communities.

What you will bring
- Demonstrated experience in community fundraising or fundraising events
- An entrepreneurial and creative edge
- Demonstrated sound administration knowledge and expertise
- A willingness to travel to connect and empower people around the state
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills both verbal and written
- Experience in working with and supporting volunteers and/or members
- Sound collaboration and communication skills to effectively engage with volunteers and stakeholders and people at all levels and from diverse backgrounds.
- Ability to manage time, set priorities, plan and organise volunteers and their own work
- Strong commitment to Reconciliation.

Mandatory compliance requirements
- A valid Victorian working with Children Check
- A valid Driver’s Licence

This role is covered by the Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Award - Level 4. Salary from $85,145.84 FTE + superannuation + salary packaging, pro rata.
