**ABOUT THE ROLE**

If you are an experienced APS 6 or EL 1 Policy Officer looking for a long-term contract in a high-profile government department, then this may be the role for you.

**Duties**
- Developing and recommending appropriate policy options to address Government objectives
- Leading in the development of Ministerial briefings and submissions on regional processing, resettlement and counter-people smuggling matters
- Liaising with other policy areas within the Taskforce and across the Department and effectively managing relationships and communications with external stakeholders.
- Existing policy development experience, advanced written and oral communication skills, attention to detail and the ability to operate in a dynamic and supportive environment is essential.
