**Pacific Industrial Company (PIC) is a highly regarded family owned company, and a recognised leader in the Australian Steel Fabrication and Construction Industry, located in Naval Base.**

We are currently seeking a motivated and hands-on Quality Lead to join our friendly workshop team on a full-time, permanent basis.

**Key duties include**:

- Ensuring effective implementation of project quality management plans/ procedures
- Conducting quality system reviews and implementation as directed by client requirements
- Preparation of ITP's, ITR's, and compilation of MDR progressively
- Initiation and organisation of site inspections with project team and client inspectors
- Promotion of quality management practises
- Ensuring works constructed are compliant to required standards and specifications
- Monitoring compliance through various surveillance activities, inspections, and audits
- Identification of quality issues and assistant in implementation of solutions
- Preparation of product for NDT testing and interpretation of reports
- Overseeing and regulating welder qualification testing
- Monitoring and reporting on site quality performance
- Initiation of action to prevent re-occurrence of non-conformances

**You will have**:

- Certificate 10 AS 1796 - Welding Supervisor qualification
- Experience in a workshop or site-based working environment
- Experience in quality administration
- Lead auditing/ compliance auditing experience and knowledge
- Trade background preferred
- Strong computing skills
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills
- Solid communication skills
- Ability to effectively manage workload and deadlines
- Hardworking and hands-on attitude
