We’re looking for a **Logistics Planning Manager** to drive seamless coordination, cost efficiency, and top-tier service within our Distribution Centre. As the **Logistics Planning Manager**, you’ll play a pivotal role in aligning inventory operations, workforce planning, transport, and automation to ensure optimal cost and service outcomes. You will lead end-to-end logistics planning, ensuring seamless execution from order processing to final delivery. **In this Role** - Develop and maintain operational plans integrating labour, transport, inventory, and warehouse capacity to optimize cost and efficiency. - Oversee resource planning, talent acquisition, training, and workforce forecasting to ensure smooth operations. - Ensure stock accuracy, optimize warehouse layout, and align transport schedules for on-time delivery. - Identify and implement automation, process enhancements, and cost-saving initiatives. - Monitor KPIs, analyze operational data, and provide insights to senior leadership for strategic decision-making. - Ensure timely, accurate order fulfillment, mitigate service risks, and champion a culture of service excellence. - Foster a strong safety culture, adhere to regulatory requirements, and drive employee engagement in safety practices. **You’re Likely a Match If** - Experience in logistics planning, workforce management, and supply chain operations. - Strong knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), inventory control, and transport coordination. - Ability to influence, engage, and collaborate across teams and leadership levels. - A drive to innovate, optimize processes, and enhance overall efficiency. - Ability to analyze data, anticipate risks, and implement effective solutions. - Understanding of OHS, HACCP, chain of responsibility, and relevant logistics legislation. **Life at Metcash** Experience a supportive and flexible work environment.
