The role
The Principal Project Officer (Biostatistics) is responsible for supporting and uplifting the research methods and statistical capability of clinician researchers state-wide of varying levels of ability and experience, with a particular focus on supporting those in regional rural and remote areas, including the development of skills frameworks and methods, and providing statistical analysis and a research methods concierge function for clinician researchers.
The successful person
**You will have demonstrated**:

- Expertise in statistical consultancy and collaborative research in medical, public health, biometrical or other life-sciences research settings, including high-level knowledge of health data analysis and statistical methodologies.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with individuals with varying levels of ability in research methods.
- Ability to successfully lead and manage organisational change.
- Ability to provide high-level and effective written and oral communication, consultation, negotiation, and problem-solving skills at a senior level, and to manage client and stakeholder relationships in an environment of change.
- Experience in Queensland Health or another complex decentralised system, and experience working with clinicians are highly desirable.
