**The Purpose**:
Reporting to the CFO, the purpose of the Head of Tax & Treasury role is to provide robust tax advice and planning for AP+ and the effective management of taxation policies, ensuring overall tax compliance, including for indirect taxes, for AP+ and its related subsidiaries.
In addition, you will also ensure that strong financial governance covering all aspects of capital, liquidity and investment management, formation of a risk aware investment strategy and accurate reporting to optimise the AP+ Treasury position is delivered.
**The skills & knowledge you need to have**:
- Undergraduate Degree in a finance discipline
- CPA/ CA qualified
- Experienced Senior Executive with directly relevant senior finance experience (+10 years)
- Proven experience leading a Tax function including, but not limited to, the provision of tax advice, planning and tax business partnering for the business including engagement with external tax advisors
- Highly developed skills implementing & leading robust tax compliance policy, reporting and procedures
- Robust working knowledge of Australia’s Taxation system and requirements
- Proven working knowledge of Australian financial markets
- Excellent understanding of risk management frameworks as they relate to taxation and treasury matters
