**Summary**:
As a construction worker, you will play a crucial role in various building and infrastructure projects. You will be responsible for executing a wide range of manual tasks, assisting skilled tradespeople, and ensuring the successful completion of construction projects. Your dedication, physical strength, and attention to detail will contribute to creating safe and durable structures that meet industry standards and client requirements.

**Responsibilities**:
Physical Labor:

- Perform physically demanding tasks, such as lifting heavy materials, digging trenches, and carrying tools and equipment.
- Assist in the setup and dismantling of construction site structures, including scaffolding and temporary fences.
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and machinery safely and efficiently.

Material Handling:

- Load and unload construction materials and equipment from trucks and delivery vehicles.
- Organize and transport materials to designated areas on the job site.
- Keep the work area tidy, ensuring the proper storage of tools and materials.

Construction Support:

- Assist skilled tradespeople, such as carpenters, masons, and electricians, by providing necessary tools and materials during their tasks.
- Follow instructions from supervisors and experienced construction workers to complete tasks accurately and efficiently.
- Collaborate with the team to achieve project objectives within established timelines.

Safety Compliance:

- Adhere to all safety guidelines and regulations to minimize the risk of accidents and injuries on the construction site.
- Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times and encourage others to do the same.
- Identify and report any potential hazards or safety concerns to supervisors immediately.

Site Preparation:

- Assist in site preparation, including clearing debris, leveling surfaces, and preparing foundations for construction.
- Set up and maintain safety barriers and warning signs to protect workers and the public from hazards.

Quality Control:

- Perform basic quality checks on construction materials and finished work to ensure they meet required standards.
- Rectify minor defects or report major issues to supervisors for appropriate action.

Communication:

- Maintain clear and open communication with team members and supervisors to ensure efficient project coordination.
- Report progress and challenges regularly, seeking guidance when needed.

**Qualifications**:

- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in construction or a related field is desirable but not mandatory.
- Physical strength and endurance to perform demanding manual labor throughout the workday.
- Ability to work in various weather conditions and tolerate exposure to dust, noise, and other construction-related elements.
- Basic knowledge of construction tools, equipment, and safety practices.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.

**Job Types**: Subcontract, Casual, Freelance, Contract
Contract length: 12 months

**Salary**: $24.74 - $38.92 per hour
