**Job Description**:
As a Software Development Manager in the CPaaS Team, you’ll help to establish teams mechanisms, rearchitecting existing services as well as developing systems from scratch, working closely with senior technical leaders within the team and across Symbio. You’ll coordinate feature development across teams, ensuring new functionality fits into the broader Symbio services. You'll drive a culture that values operational excellence, customer focus, and continuous improvement.

Your role encompasses improving engineering practices, coaching, and uplifting our agile processes and providing people leadership.

**What you’ll do as a Software Development Manager**:

- Provide architectural leadership across software teams
- Takes end to end responsibility for all platforms and their technical direction
- Defines and manages technical roadmap/strategy
- People leadership and development
- Build a high performing team
- Works with stakeholders to manage team capacity and complex project sequencing

**Qualifications**:
**What you'll need to succeed**:

- 5+ years of experience working directly within engineering teams
- Experience partnering with product OR program management teams
- 3+ years of people management experience, managing engineers
- 3+ years of experience architecting and designing
- Experience taking a leading role in building complex software systems that have been successfully delivered to customers
- Knowledge of professional software engineering practices & best practices for the full software development life cycle
- Hands-on expertise in many disparate technologies, typically ranging from front-end user interfaces through to back-end systems
- Experience in driving systemic operational improvements
- Experience mentoring software engineers to improve their skills, and make them more effective, product software engineers
- Experience influencing software engineers best practices within your team
- Experience in communicating with users, other technical teams, and senior management to collect requirements, describe software product features, technical designs, and product strategy
