**The Role**:
We are seeking an experienced Video Producer to contribute to developing high-quality creative content across the Department. Reporting to and working closely with the Video Production Lead, you will create and develop high-quality video and photographic content for customer stories, internal communications, external social videos, marketing videos, social media, recruiting videos, corporate training and other department-wide projects.

You will deliver multiple priority projects concurrently, working closely with internal and external stakeholders and suppliers to support the delivery of wider communications and stakeholder engagement objectives.

As appropriate, this role may also be required to provide surge support to ensure the Branch can deliver effective media and communications services during emergency, crisis and peak periods.

**VPS4 Equivalent | Three month contract**

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Work within the video team to plan and produce video and photographic projects and ensure they are in line with the Department of Health strategies
- Scope, plan, develop and manage production of departmental digital media outputs, including video, graphics
- and photography, undertaking local and regional travel as required
- Assist in the creation and refinement of scripts, project concepts, and other materials
- Collaborate with stakeholders (internal and external) and work with other members of the branch to ensure the delivery of seamless and professional communications services for all areas of the department
- Contribute to continuous improvement to increase efficiency and effectiveness of the Communications and Engagement Branch
- Produce and develop engaging video content for use across department social media and digital channels in accordance with the content strategy and editorial plan
- Support the implementation of strategies and guidelines to establish best-practice, build engagement and inclusion, regularly report and measure performance and manage risk
- Keep accurate and complete records of your work activities in accordance with legislative requirements and the department's records, information security and privacy policies and requirements

**About You**:

- A tertiary qualification in fields related to multimedia, video production, animation, media and communications or associated disciplines would be advantageous
- Identifies processes, tasks and resources required to achieve a goal
- Identifies more and less critical activities and operates accordingly, reviewing and adjusting as required
- Develops and implements systems and procedures to guide work and track progress
- Constantly looks for continuous improvement opportunities and ways to innovate, and encourages others to do the same
- Takes responsibility for correcting problems promptly and without becoming defensive
- Makes specific changes in work methods to improve outcomes, quality and timeliness of service
