About the Role

Responsible for delivering exceptional beverage service to our guests. This role encompasses the creation, preparation, and presentation of a wide variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, with a focus on innovation and quality. The Bartender is also tasked with maintaining the bar area, managing inventory, training junior staff, and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations. The position requires a high level of creativity, customer service, and technical skill, contributing to the overall guest experience and the Hyatt’s reputation for excellence.

Some of the responsibilities include:

- Prepare and serve a wide range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages with precision and flair, ensuring that all drinks are made to Hyatt brand standards.
- Assist with designing and developing innovative and seasonal cocktail menus that reflect Hyatt Hotel Canberra’s brand and appeal to our diverse clientele.
- Educate guests on drink choices, ingredients, and pairings, offering suggestions to complement their dining experience.
- Provide attentive and personalised service, engaging with guests to enhance their experience.

**Qualifications**:

- A valid and current Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certificate
- The ability to create a positive first impression
- The flexibility to work on a rotating roster, including weekends and public holidays
- Bar experience
- Wine knowledge highly advantageous
