**21st February, 2025**:
The new Aged Care Act will commence from 1 July 2025. It will replace existing legislation, including the current Aged Care Act and the Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission Act 2018. The new Act introduces a rights-based framework for the delivery of aged care which focuses on the people accessing funded aged care services, and their rights in relation to that care.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Monitor Legislative Changes**:

- Stay informed about relevant legislative and regulatory developments.
- Analyse the impact of legislative changes on the organisation.
- **Translate Legislative Changes into Practical Policies**:

- Develop and implement policies, procedures and guidelines that reflect legislative changes.
- Ensure policies are practical, actionable, and aligned with organisational goals.
- **Review and Rewrite Existing Document Suite**:

- Simplify complex documents to ensure clarity and accessibility.
- Update documents to reflect current corporate branding and standards.
- **Liaise with Key Leads**:

- Collaborate with relevant leads and key stakeholders to gather accurate information.
- Ensure all content is accurate, up-to-date, and follows best practices.

**To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate**:

- Proven experience in policy development and analysis.
- A strong understanding of legislative processes and regulatory environments.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to simplify complex information and present it clearly.
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams.

**It would be great if you had the below (but not essential)**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Public Policy, Law, or a related field.
