ABOUT THE ROLE and TEAM
At Port Phillip Prison, the Stores Department play a critical role in ensuring the prison is able to provide consumable support to prisoners and staff.
As the Stores Coordinator at Port Phillip Prison you will be responsible for the supervision and coordination of the daily duties within the Stores Department. This will include delegating tasks across the team of seven Stores Persons, and using initiative to ensure all stock movement in and out of the prison is processed and purchased in a safe and coherent manner.

**Other duties will include**:

- Providing a cost-effective operation of the prison store department, to support the Stores Manager
- Assisting with the sourcing, costing and purchase of items
- Processing purchase orders and transactions, including goods for canteen use, prisoner use and staff use
- Ensuring the overall safety of staff and operations in the stores area
- Undertaking physical stock take of all supply items as well as reconcile, charge off and move stock as required
- Distribute and support with the processing of all paperwork and requests from prisoners as well as the movement of goods around the facility

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

**Desirables**:

- Experience with inventory management software
- Fork Lift Licence
- Previous experience training and supervising staff
- Knowledge of Health and Safety Practices

ABOUT G4S & PORT PHILLIP PRISON
G4S manages Port Phillip Prison on behalf of Corrections Victoria. We are responsible for ensuring that both sentenced prisoners and those who are in our care on remand (those in custody awaiting court) are supervised and managed in a secure, safe and humane manner. We also provide programs designed to reduce reoffending and appropriate services to support the well-being of prisoners and their families.
