**About the Role**

The Quality Manager is responsible and accountable for managing QA/QC responsibilities of SEE Civil projects to ensure the projects are constructed in accordance with the established minimum standards and contractual requirements. At SEE Civil, you can expect to have involvement in a range of projects across the civil infrastructure and resource sectors.

The Quality Manager role includes direct oversight and review of project documentation and physical inspections phases of the projects QA/QC processes, including working with in-house personnel (e.g., Project Managers, Superintendents, Engineers etc.) and external personnel to produce and document a quality product.

**Responsibilities will include**
- Gain a full understanding and working knowledge of the Company’s Integrated Management System (IMS) and contractual obligations.
- Responsible and accountable to maintain the quality system, appropriate registers and ensure all relevant quality documentation is completed as required by the IMS and contractual obligations.
- Responsible to complete audit requirements for the quality system as directed by the IMS Manager.
- Chair and document weekly QC meetings with the superintendent and provide written minutes as described in project-specific contract documents (when based on or supporting projects).
- Monitor activities that are being constructed in conformance with each specific project's established standard and constructively confronts non-conformances to produce the desired outcome in a timely manner.
- Conduct preparatory, initial and follow up meetings to establish an understanding of the standards of care desired for each definable feature of work. Verify that checklists are being used and signed off before the placement of concrete, steel and other similar items of work.
- Stop work if necessary to resolve matters that affect safety, quality or inhibits the logical progress of work.
- Keep informed of all developments in legislative requirements, industry standards and best practices of the construction of projects and ensure that these are followed at all times with a high priority to workplace health and safety.
- Positively participate in audits as directed by the IMS Manager to ensure ongoing SEE Group accreditations.
- Responsible to manage programs for the collection of data in QANTROL.
- Contribute to SEE Group precontracts pursuits by preparing QA returnable schedules.

**Essential Skills and Attributes**
- Have at least five years previous experience with a background in Engineering, Construction and Delivery processes and experience in actual project delivery.
- Tertiary qualification in Quality, Environmental, Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management or similar.
- Highly effective planning, organising and problem-solving skills together with the ability to indirectly lead, motivate and influence others is considered critical.
- Extensive experience in, and knowledge of, Quality practices and procedures, current legislative requirements, and hands-on experience monitoring and reviewing OHS&W systems, procedures and practices.
- Demonstrated experience managing multiple tasks and maintaining focus on priorities.
- Strong acumen for establishing and maintaining effective working relationships.
