**What we’re looking for**:
This position is responsible for managing the Incident Support Team and general regulatory affairs.
**The role**:
- Coaching, mentoring, leadership and management of the Incident Support Team.
- Overseeing communication and resolving issues with regulatory authorities and the Department of Education.
- Supporting operational areas in triaging and assessing ratings
- Reviewing corrective actions for all incidents to ensure gap and incident is closed out
- Acting as the Project Management Office function (communication/liaison) for investigation of incidents
- Verifying preventative and correction actions for children incidents
- Regular Board reporting on the compliance incidents and outcomes
- Managing the compliance management system and processes including incident procedures and processes post incident.
- Attend and chair the monthly Incident Support Team meetings
- Deliver training at staff meetings/ workshops as required to provide support, advice and expertise to committees and working groups as required.
- Stakeholder relationship building and consultation on developing robust preventative controls and actions.
- Inform and work with compliance on training requirements for incident ratings and triaging.
**About you**:
- Minimum 2 years’ experience within a safety/HR or ECEC in a centre, support, or regulatory role
- Diploma or tertiary qualifications in early childhood education and care or equivalent
- Certificate IV in WHS or equivalent experience understanding and interpreting WHS regulations
- Proven leadership experience
- Knowledge of the Early Learning regulations and relevant safety regulations and legislation
- Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to report on incidents and trends to a high standard - both in writing and verbally
- Ability to build rapport with stakeholders at all levels quickly and easily
- Proactive in trouble shooting and resolution of support issues
- Able to handle pressure and juggle a variety of tasks simultaneously

**Permanent Full-time position, Monday to Friday, 38 hours per week, based in Brisbane (CBD).**
