Carlton Academy of Early Learning is a family-owned and operated, boutique early learning service. We are a 39 place Centre catering for children from 18 months to 6 years. We are seeking a passionate, driven and knowledgeable Educational Leader/room leader (3-5 year old room), who has the experience and expertise needed to lead, support and manage our small team of Educators.

Your focus will be to support our team of Educators in the implementation of child-focused programming and improve their teaching practices.

Our expectation is that the Educational Leader/room leader will support the staffing team where needed, and support curriculum planning and development as required across all age groups. In addition, you will work closely with the Centre Director to implement critical reflections, self-assessment and quality improvements of the overall service.

**Experience & Responsibilities/Selection Criteria**:

- Minimum 1 years' experience in mentoring a team as an Educational Leader.
- Experience in overseeing and implementing a program based on children's needs and interests.
- A strong understanding of compliance and of National Quality Standards (NQF).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Sound experience in supporting the staff management of a small team.
- The ability to support and work collaboratively with your team, and assist and support the Centre Director in the general day-to-day running of the service.
- The ability to manage and lead community engagement.
- Minimum of a Diploma of Children's Services.
- Current approved first aid, anaphylaxis and asthma qualifications.
- Current Working with Children Check
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- The ability to lead in a classroom environment.
- A sound understanding of the EYLF and NQF.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 38 per week

**Salary**: $22.36 - $39.83 per hour

**Experience**:

- Teaching: 2 years (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Working with Children Check (preferred)
