_**Disability Support Workers needed URGENTLY in Lumeah-NSW (Must have experience working with children) **_

National Disability and Mental Health Services (**NDMHS**) is looking for experienced _**Disability Support Workers **_with good communication skills_._

The company provides a wide range of services to individuals with a disability and their families. We provide services across Sydney and have many positions available.

Applicants must be authorized to work in Australia, must have Valid Driving License (Australian or International) and reliable car.

**The Role**:
We are looking to recruit someone who is motivated to provide a range of flexible supports to people with a disability. We are seeking someone who is experienced and passionate and have a positive attitude to support individuals in leading a more independent and fulfilled life.

**Role specific needs.**

**(Wednesday at 3:30pm-6:30pm Plus 30 mins provider travel approved.**

**Thursday 2:30pm-5:30pm Plus 30 mins provider travel approved.**

**Saturday/Sunday 10am-1pm plus 30 mins provider travel approved)**
- **It's a minor client (Female)**_
- **She uses limited words to speak.**_
- **Neck(swallowing) muscles are not fully developed as a result she is fed by PEG by her parents.**_
- **Very active girl**_
- **workers to encourage her to use more words to speak and practice.**_
- **Assist her to build daily living skills including eating through mouth and toilet trained.**_

**Core objectives include**:

- Provide support to patients with physical and/or intellectual disabilities
- Understand and provide appropriate care to patients with low needs to patients with high needs

who demonstrate a range of challenging behaviours.
- Assisting with activities relating to daily living, community support, and empowerment
- Work under general guidance from the person seeking support, and their family, within clearly

defined guidelines.
- Providing personal care to people with disabilities

The above list is not exhaustive, and the role may change to meet the overall objectives of the company.

**Requirements**:

- Current CPR & First Aid (OR willing to obtain before joining)
- Working With Children Check (OR willing to obtain before joining)
- NDIS Worker Check (OR willing to obtain before joining)
- Insured car & valid driving license.
- Manual Handling certificate (OR willing to obtain after joining)

**Pay rate $32.75-$74.22 per hour. (Includes Penalty rates)**
