We are seeking engaging Disability Support Workers to provide our participants with support that promotes the dignity of our participants and supports them to reach their full potential. The role is based in the St George region across multiple group homes requiring 24/7 support.

**Key responsibilities of the role include**:

- Contributing to developing, following, and implementing plans that support participants in developing skills that will assist their daily living and quality of life
- Engaging our participants that activities that enable them to be a part of their community
- Provide support to participants with tasks associated with meal preparation, personal care, domestic assistance and medication administration
- Support participants in developing skills to reach goals of personal development and daily living
- Performing duties in a manner that promotes the dignity, independence, and attainment of skills to meet their individual needs
- Documentation of participants' daily activities

**Essential criteria**:

- Valid NSW drivers licence
- A current Working with Childrens Check
- Cleared NDIS Worker Check
- Police check
- NDIS worker orientation module certificate
- Covid-19 Infection control training certificate
- A current First Aid certificate
- Up to date vaccination status

**Desirable criteria**:

- Certificate III in individual support or a Certificate IV in Disability or other relevant qualification
- Management of Actual or Potential Aggression (MAPA) training

**Job Type**: Casual

**Salary**: $35.00 per hour

Schedule:

- Fixed shift
- Flexible hours
- Weekend availability

Supplemental pay types:

- Penalty rates

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Hurstville NSW: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
