The Jack and Jill family and the established educational team are dedicated in providing quality early childhood education and nurture.

Jack and Jill provide a curriculum that is developmentally appropriate to the needs of children attending the service. It stimulates and provides for the development of each child’s social, physical, emotional and intellectual potential, including language skills and creativity.

**The position**

We are looking for a full-time Early Childhood Teacher to plan and delivery the Teaching Program in line with the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF). The program should be appropriate for the age of the children being cared for. The aim should centre around establishing a caring play-based learning program that is both engaging and inclusive.

Full-time position (38 hours per week).

Must have the right to work full-time in Australia.

**Summary of Duties/Tasks**
- **Working with Children Check (WWCC)**: A valid WWCC clearance is mandatory.
- **Commitment**: Willingness to complete on-the-job training and study the Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care.
- **Communication Skills**: Good communication and teamwork abilities.
- Genuine interest in working with young children and supporting their development.
- Carry out building, equipment and security checks and report all health and safety risks.
- Maintain a high level of hygiene and safety and be familiar with the Evacuation Policy and conduct regular drills.
- Ensure that the room/outside area is appropriately staffed at all times.
- Supervise, direct, support and assist co-workers with clear explanations of duties and expectations.
- Ensure that all reports and schedule forms are written and maintained accurately and in a timely manner.
- Acknowledge families as a valuable resource and develop positive relationships with them based on mutual respect and open communication.
- Ensure all interactions with children and families reflect the centre’s philosophy and policies approaching each child and family with impartiality regardless of differences in ethnic or family culture, and religious or political background.
- Respond to a family or staff member’s concerns in a timely manner and refer significant and/or unresolved concerns to the Authorised Supervisor or Director.
- Contribute to an atmosphere of trust and professional respect through an attitude of openness, tolerance, constructive conflict resolution processes and maintenance of confidentially in order to maintain and continually improve the standard of service at the centre.
- Participate in the organisation of and attend regular staff meetings and ensure staff are involved in the creation of and keep up to date with the Centre’s Policies and Procedures and legislative requirements.

Must have the right to work full-time in Australia.

Pay: From $51,945.00 per year
