Disability Support Worker in Hampton East

Sovereign Lives Victoria is seeking experienced Disability Support Workers in the area of _**Hampton East.**_

We are looking for competent healthcare workers who possess the right empathy, interpersonal skills, ethics, and work experience with participants living with intellectual and/or physical disabilities, as well as mental health issues. You will get a full roster line and you’ll need to be available to work. day/afternoon/nights & weekend shifts on a rotating weekly/fortnightly roster. The roster will balance across these shifts.

About You:

have a happy and bubbly personality be able to build rapport easily with clients and co-workers

have the ability to be flexible, strong and resilient in challenging situations taking initiative and participate in meetings/training

Also supporting our participants on an urgent basis/irregular hour/on call basis (with respect to the availability of our employees)

You will be responsible for (but not limited to): Supporting participants with manual handling, personal hygiene (showering & toileting), self-care, meal preparation, domestic duties.

Maintaining cleanliness.

Completing shift progress notes.

Emotion, positive, and professional rapport building

Maintaining professional boundaries

Requirements for this role:
Immediate Start
- NDIS Worker Screening Check

Current First Aid & CPR Certificate Minimum of 2 years' experience working in the Disability sector

Current National Police Check

Current Working with Children's Check Have the availability to work all shifts (morning/afternoon/active nights/weekends)

Valid Australian

Driver's License and comprehensively insured vehicle Minimum

The right to work in Australia.

**Job Type**: Casual

**Salary**: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour
