**We will count on you to**:
- Assisting the financial advisers in their provision tailored financial advice to a range of individual clients by assisting with the development of high quality financial strategies and plans.
- Working closely with financial advisers to build and maintain successful client relationships.
- Deal with technical client queries and follow-up outstanding matters
- Contribute to team meetings and projects and act as thought leaders and mentors for the team.
- Developing and maintaining a thorough knowledge of, and compliance with, the licensing and professional standards under which we operate.
- Adhere at all times to the Mercer professional code of conduct.
- Adhere at all times to Mercer’s compliance guidelines to ensure that compliance breaches are kept to a minimum.
**What you need to have**:
- University qualified (or nearing completion) of a Financial Adviser Standard approved degree or equivalent qualification Ideally minimum of 3 years in a Financial Advice Assistant or Junior Paraplanning role
- Understanding of more complex structures such as trusts, defined benefit and SMSF.
- Superannuation, tax, investment, insurance and estate planning knowledge.
- Strong communication, written and numeric skills.
- High attention to detail.
