**YMCA Vocational Schools** provide adjusted education programs and vocational training to secondary students, who would benefit from an alternative learning environment. With campuses across Brisbane, the school supports students in their journey to employment. Students participate in programs dedicated to enhancing practical and personal skills, at a pace that encourages school attendance, engagement and confidence.

**Our Moreton Bay Senior Campus** is interested in recruiting a **Teacher** on a **permanent, full-time **basisto join our dedicated multi-disciplinary team located in **Mango Hill.**

**ABOUT THE ROLE**

The responsibilities of a **Teacher** are to deliver academic and wellbeing programs to students, support the delivery of vocational training programs offered to students and also support the head of campus in the operation of the campus to achieve educational, wellbeing and vocational objectives.

Additional responsibilities include (but are not limited too):

- Create and deliver lessons in accordance with the guidelines and parameters provided by the Head of Curriculum and School’s Wellbeing framework
- Develop and deliver individualised lessons to the needs of each student so that students are engaged and able to maximise their learning outcomes
- Participate in the process to regularly monitor the effectiveness of program delivery through observation and evaluation
- Respond to the needs of students, their parent and/or carer and wider community to ensure the quality of service meets agreed standards
- Advocate on behalf of and for young people in community planning committees where appropriate and needed

**SELECTION CRITERIA**

**The ideal applicant **will be looking for a challenge, have a passion for working with young people, a strong interest in the development of the holistic person, a personal interest in health and fitness, spirituality, personal well-being and values and ongoing professional development. They will also possess the selection criteria below:

- Hold a relevant Bachelor degree, current Queensland Teacher Registration, First Aid Certificate and CPR Qualifications;
- Be able to demonstrate practical experience teaching and supporting young people and the development of positive student relationships;
- Work successfully in a small team and within the schools' philosophy & ethos to establish productive partnerships and achieve educational outcomes.
