**Educator/Educational Leader**

**Part-Time 37.5 hours per week (Monday to Friday 7.5 hours per day)**

One Tree Community Services is a national not for profit offering early childhood education, out of school hours care, community services, registered early childhood training, and professional support. Located in the beachfront suburb of Swanbourne our childcare centre offers care for children aged 0-6 years of age. With a capacity for 47 children, our childcare centre prides themselves of the relationships they form with children, parents, the local community, and Australian Defence Force families.

**What you will do**:
As an educator/educational leader you will be a team player who is willing to help support the service, children and other employees as needed. You will help lead and develop the curriculum and provide mentoring to all the educators within the service. You will ensure that programming align with the service philosophy and ensure that the child’s ideas, culture, abilities, and interests are inclusive and reflected in the service.

**Other duties include**:

- Ensure that the children’s learning environment provides a diverse range of experiences that promotes children’s play, learning and development.
- Ensure the practices of all educators are in accordance with the NQS and reflect the philosophy, policies and procedures of the service.
- Lead and model for the team of educators the utilisation of a variety of teaching strategies including intentional teaching and reflective practice.
- Support the Nominated Supervisor to document the continuous improvement of the service on the Quality Improvement Plan (QIP).
