**Room Leader**

**Part-Time 37.5 hours per week (Monday to Friday 7.5 hours per day)**

Located in the beachfront suburb of Swanbourne our childcare centre offers care for children aged 0-6 years of age. With a capacity for 47 children, our childcare centre prides themselves of the relationships they form with children, parents, the local community, and Australian Defence Force families.

**What you will do**:
As a room leader in the toddler room, you will be a team player who is willing to help support the service, children and other employees as needed. You will provide specific, specialised support for a focus group of children or room at the service, adding value to a service in a particular area of expertise while providing support to staff’s development of learning and improvement.

**Other duties include**:

- Work effectively with families in caring for children and promote and support family involvement in the curriculum.
- Supervision of staff and practice in the room.
- Advocate for children’s rights, needs, and interests and oversee staff in establishing an environment that enables and promotes these rights, needs and interests.
- Act as the authorised responsible person as required.
- Support the inclusion of and be sensitive and responsive to, the needs of children with disabilities and children from diverse cultural, racial, religious and socio
- economic backgrounds.
