**About Western Distributors**
Western Distributors has been operating in Melbourne's western suburbs for more than 50 years. We have Melbourne’s largest range of quality flooring, including tiles, carpet, floating floors, vinyl, and rugs, in stock and ready to go. We are a household name in Melbourne, but also service customers across Australia.

Western Distributors are looking for an energetic salesperson to work in our tiles showroom. Work with the close knit and supportive sales team, and experience working with Melbourne’s biggest range of indoor and outdoor tiles, including bathroom and subway tiles, in every size, shape, style and colour.

Your role will be to engage with customers, and support them by providing advice on tile options that meet their needs. We want our customers to feel that they have been given the best information possible, have found wonderful products and enjoyed their experience in store.

**Ability to work Saturdays (between 8am and 1pm) is essential.**

**Duties & responsibilities**
The person we are seeking to employ will be required to:

- consult with customers and builders to put together tile colour schemes;
- assist customers and builders to colour match tiles;
- read plans and calculate tiles required for surface areas of different sizes;
- provide written quotations;
- process sales;
- coordinate delivery and laying of tiles with delivery drivers and tilers; and
- perform general cleaning duties.

**Skills & experience**
The skills and experience you need to perform this role include:

- sales experience in the flooring industry (would be highly regarded);
- a passion for colour and colour matching;
- ability to read plans and calculate square metres of tiles required;
- ability to work in a team environment;
- good numeracy skills;
- excellent interpersonal skills;
- good literacy skills;
- good computer skills; and
- a strong work ethic.
