**Your new role**

As Regulatory Economist, your primary responsibilities will involve data analysis, business case preparation and expenditure prioritisation. In addition, you will deliver regulatory reports, submissions, and other products to a high standard to support SA Water through their regulation and pricing cycles.

As an integral member of a small team, your key accountabilities will include:

- **
Preparation of regulatory materials**: Assist in coordinating and developing SA Water’s regulatory proposal, ensuring robust business cases support SA Water’s objectives.
- Work with key business leads to develop and review key inputs to regulatory processes. Ensure monitoring and delivery of committed regulatory outcomes.
- ** Provide regulatory guidance and advice**: Provide technical policy and regulatory advice to decision-makers.
- ** Develop key stakeholder relationships**: Work with Government agencies and industry bodies as required to influence the economic regulatory framework. Maintain positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

**What you'll need to succeed**

To be considered for these roles, you will demonstrate:

- Tertiary qualifications in business, commerce, law, or related discipline or equivalent experience in a similar role
- Demonstrated examples of business case analysis (desirable with a regulatory focus)
- Exceptional stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to form relationships and obtain information as required
- Strong analytical and commercial skills
- Desirable: Experience in planning and helping deliver large projects, knowledge and experience in working in a regulatory environment and regulatory requirements
