Our Personal Care Workers and Personal Care Assistants:
We are currently seeking Personal Care Workers who will look after our clients with a high level of attentiveness, kindness, and respect. We are looking for people who will strive to maintain and enhance the health and well-being of our residents, as well as their capabilities, independence, choice and control, privacy, dignity and safety.
To maintain this attentiveness to our clients, we aim to support your well-being and ensure a happy and safe work environment.
Key Duties:
Assisting patients with their personal care needs such as showering, dressing and eating
Assisting patients with their mobility, transportation and communication needs
Participating in planning the care of individuals
Following therapy and support plans such as interventions to assist those with behavioural problems
Observing and reporting changes in patients' condition, and reporting complaints about care
Assisting with rehabilitation exercises, basic treatment and delivering medications
Providing direct support and assistance to therapies
About Yourself:
Our clients are the top priority and we are looking for people who will do their best to ensure that their well-being and lifestyle are maintained. You must have:
Certificate III or higher qualification in Disability Support Work or 3 years of work experience in the same field or related field
1 year post qualification experience
A valid Police Check that is not more than 12 months old.
You’ll have a current First Aid Certificate. If you don’t have one, we will organize this as part of your induction at no cost to you.
Good verbal and written English skills
Pay: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
Supplementary Pay:
- Overtime pay
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Adelaide CBD, SA: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
**Experience**:
- Personal care: 1 year (preferred)
Licence/Certification:
- Driver Licence (preferred)
Work Authorisation:
- Australia (preferred)
