About this Opportunity

Mumbrella is actively seeking a Reporter to bolster the content and editorial team, contributing to market-leading content creation while establishing contacts and deepening industry knowledge. This role primarily involves crafting original news stories and features, particularly for the Mumbrella website and daily newsletter.

**Your Duties will include**:

- Conducting news gathering within the media, marketing, and advertising industry in Australia.
- Crafting unique and original stories on media and marketing, surpassing conventional press releases.
- Contributing to Mumbrella events and awards, actively participating in content creation.
- Speaking and providing insights into the media and marketing industry on the Mumbrellacast podcast when required.
- Producing and curating weekly segment newsletters.
- Conducting interviews, research, and maintaining notes and audio recordings.
- Staying abreast of market trends, movements, and issues.
- Updating the Mumbrella website and dispatching the daily newsletter through WordPress and Adestra.

**Skills and Experiences**:
Who Are You?

Previous experience in a news reporting role or adjacent to news reporting.
Exceptional attention to detail.
Outstanding oral and written communication skills.
Curiosity and creativity.
Previous knowledge of writing about the media and marketing industry is advantageous but not essential.
Strong analytical and research skills.
Ability to take initiative, receive constructive feedback, and work with mínimal supervision.
